“You are the wind beneath my wings”

Who do you think is the wind beneath your wings? Who gives you the strength to carry on especially when times are hard? Who helps you face the challenges and obstacles life has to offer?

Ever since I was born, my mom stuck up with me through all the struggles I encountered.

She helped me face all the problems I had and gave me advice on how to fix things. I will never forget the humiliation I had during 6th grade. Well, some of my classmates made a book about me and all the people close to me. They ruined my reputation, using that book. My mom defended me through it all. She gave me strength so I could face the people involved.

My mom is an example of your family being the wind beneath your wings, your strength, your support. Your family will always care for you and will always be there for you. Hence, accept you for your whole self.

If it is not your family, it may be your friends. The people you always hang-out with in school. The people who are always ready to listen to your problems especially when you can’t share it with your family. My best friend, Sarina, best shows this. She was the only person who was there after the incident in 6th grade happened. She stood by me and never left me. She proved that she was really true to me.

Actually, none of the said above is really our wind beneath our wings. It is actually GOD who should be our strength, our support, our family, our friend. God listens to us freely and gives us advice through our family and friends. He just uses them as instruments. He is the only one who will never leave us no matter what. And when our family or friends turns us down, it is God we turn to. God will always be there forever.

So, from now on, my wind beneath my wings is GOD. For without him, I wouldn’t have my mom and my best friend, my support on earth.
